Results

To receive your results please make a follow up appointment with your doctor.  Normal test results may be given over the telephone at the doctor’s discretion.

Training and Education

All the doctors and staff participate in regular training to ensure their skills are continually upgraded.  The Sale Medical Centre is a training practice and hosts medical students from Monash University on a regular basis.

If you do not wish to have the medical student present during your consultation, please inform reception.

Health Education

The Practice is committed to providing ongoing Health Education for patients.  Appointments may be made with the Diabetes Educator and Women’s Health Nurse on referral from the doctors

Management of your Personal Health Information

Your medical record is a confidential document.   It is the policy of this Practice to maintain security of personal health information at all times and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.

Repeat Prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions of regular medications should be requested during a review consultation with your doctor.

Recall and Reminder System

The Practice uses a computerised system to remind patients of preventative medicine strategies i.e. pap smears, influenza vaccination.   Please advise your doctor or the Practice staff if you would like to be included.

Referrals

Patients referred for pathology, radiology or specialist opinion should be advised that there might be additional costs not covered by Medicare or Private Health Insurance.  Please check fees with relevant provider
